DURANT — Southeastern guard Kacey Russell has been named the Lone Star Conference North Division Offensive Player of the Week following her performances against Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M.
Russell helped Southeastern to a 2-0 week which included an upset of No. 7 ranked WTAMU.
She averaged 18.0 points per game while shooting 62.5 percent from the field, including 16 points against ENMU and 20 versus the Lady Buffs.
The senior hit five three-pointers on the week, shooting 45.5 percent from behind the arc, and 11-of-13 free throws. She added 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
Southeastern will be back in action on Saturday when it hosts Midwestern State at 6 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
