A Cartwright woman died Saturday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash 1.6 miles south of Calera on U.S. Highway 69/75, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

DarTania Deeneene Mattingly, 28, was dead on arrival at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas.

According to the patrol, Mattingly was westbound at 1:26 in a Honda car on a county road when she failed to yield for a stop sign at 69/75 and drove into the path of a northbound Chevrolet driven by Naomi Lee Ligon, 35, Howe, Texas.

Mattingly's vehicle was struck on the driver-side door. Ligon was taken to TMC where she was treated and released for head and leg injuries, according to the patrol. Three passengers in Ligon's vehicle also were treated and released.

All occupants in Ligon's car wore seat belts, according to Trooper Kyle Ince's report. It was not known if Mattingly was wearing a seat belt. Trooper Steve Nabors and the Calera and Colbert police departments assisted in the investigation.

A funeral service for Mattingly will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Colbert High School Auditorium.

In other accidents, two crashes Sunday in Atoka County injured several people.

At 1:55 p.m., Jeremy Neil Braswell, 21, Duncan, fell asleep while driving his vehicle two miles west of Atoka on State Highway 3, the patrol said. Braswell drove off the roadway, overcorrected, came back across the road and rolled his vehicle 4.5 times.

Braswell was taken to Atoka Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City. He is in stable condition with head, trunk and arm injuries, according to the patrol. His daughter, Savanna Braswell, 2, was flown to the same hospital and she is in good condition with an arm injury.

Seat belts were in use, according to OHP Capt. Jeff Sewell's report.

Troopers investigated another crash at 6:05 p.m. on Highway 69/75 one mile south of Caney. Judy Clair, 60, Lewisville, Texas, crashed when another pickup driven by Jared Northum, 26, Ovilla, Texas, failed to yield at a stop sign and drove into her path.

Clair swerved to avoid a collision, drove off the road and overturned one time, according to the patrol. She was taken to the Atoka hospital and then flown to St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, where she is in stable condition with head and arm injuries. Northum and two passengers were not injured. There was no contact between Clair's and Northum's pickups.

All occupants wore seat belts, according to Trooper Steve Payne's report.
