Six-run fourth inning propels Rebels past Vanoss

SILO— The Silo Rebels added another tally to the win column on Monday afternoon with a 10-2 victory over the visiting Vanoss Wolves. It was a very productive day at the plate for Silo infielder Leonard Sandler who went 4-4 with three doubles, four RBIs and a stolen base. Andrew Bolin went 2-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Lance House went 1-3 with an RBI. Kyle Tate and Tanner Clark also contributed RBIs to the Silo effort. Jarris Hamilton was the winning pitcher for the Rebels and finished with nine strikeouts in 6.0 innings. Hamilton gave up only two runs in the victory. It was a scoreless ballgame until the bottom of the third when Sandler put the Rebels on the board with an RBI double. Bolin scored from third base to make it 1-0. The Wolves tied the game in the top of the fourth with an RBI single. Another run crossed the plate when Hamilton issued a bases loaded walk. With two outs, Hamilton responded with a bases-loaded strikeout to end the inning. In the bottom of the fourth, the floodgates opened for the Rebels with six runs crossing the plate. Clark tied the game with an RBI double. Bolin and Sandler followed with back-to-back RBI doubles to make it 6-2. House drove in Sandler for the sixth run of the inning.

With an 8-2 lead, Bolin led off the bottom of the sixth with a triple to deep center field. Sandler drove him in for his fourth RBI of the game. Tate finished things up with an RBI single to left field to make it 10-2.

The win gives Silo a solid regular season record of 7-1.
