DURANT — Ten outstanding Southeastern Oklahoma State University students have been selected as members of the inaugural True Blue Ambassadors.

These student leaders will represent Southeastern at high school recruitment events, give campus tours to prospective students and assist with Southeastern Alumni Association programs. Ambassadors will also work with Interim President Larry Minks to host special guests on campus.

“True Blue Ambassadors is a chance to showcase the best students at Southeastern and provide them with leadership opportunities on campus and in the community,” said university recruitment coordinator Elizabeth Stidham. “These student representatives will help us recruit future outstanding students to the university.”

The Ambassadors selected include: Leslie Chandler, Latta, an advertising/public relations & occupational safety double major; Maxie Combs, Madill, a health, physical education and recreation major; Maegan Dugger, Locust Grove, elementary education major; KT Grantham, Highland Park (Dallas) Texas, aviation professional pilot major; and Clinton Harders, Allen, Texas, a communication major.

Also selected: Daniel Hendrickson, Thackerville, an accounting & finance double major; Zachary Morgan, Prague, an aviatiorofessional pilot major; Meagan Newman, Coppell, Texas, theatre management & production major; Hunter Sitz, Celina, Texas, music education major; and Ray Stephens, Caddo, occupational safety and environmental science major.

The True Blue Ambassadors were nominated by faculty and staff. Students participated in an application and interview selection process.

The Southeastern Presidential Partners is providing funding to the program.
