An Oklahoma man died after being shot Wednesday evening by Lewisville, Texas, police after police there said he pulled a gun on them, Dallas-area media reported.
Roger Preston Hamill, 32, died after being taken to a hospital. Lewisville Police said he was from Durant, although an obituary states he was from Hugo.
According to NBCDFW.com, a man attempted to rob someone at at McDonald’s drive-thru near Interstate 35-E. Police pulled over a suspect vehicle and officers shot him after they said he pointed a gun at them.
He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting.
Funeral services for Hamill will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Victory Life Church in Boswell.
