Tickets now available for annual Parade of Homes

Tickets are now on sale for the Durant Education and Service Sorority’s (DESS) annual Parade of Homes Tour.

The Parade of Homes Tour is set to be held December 2 from 1 p.m. to 5p.m. Tickets for the event cost $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

Tickets became be available for the Parade of Homes on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at BLISS, The Hollow Tree, Iron Gate Cafe, Marie’s, Tradewind’s, Hot Shots, and The Medicine Store.

The event will feature three local homes decorated for the holiday season and a gift house for guests to shop from several vendor booths. This year’s gift house will be at The Plaza on Main Street Durant.

Homes in the tour include the Mason home at 101 2nd Avenue, the home of Dell McLain at 523 North 5th Avenue and the Lacaze home at 601 Silverado Drive.

Also featured in the tour will be the Bryan County Pregnancy Center. The pregnancy center will be having an open house to allow guests to learn about the facility.

The Durant Education and Service Sorority has hosted this event every year for over 20 years in Durant. The event acts as the Sorority’s one annual fundraiser.

Funds from the event go to help support local projects and organizations such as Families Feeding Families, Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival - Children’s Theater and the SOSU Endowed Scholarship Fund.

One home featured in the tour will be previewed in the Durant Daily each week leading up the event.
