Two people died and another was seriously injured in separate weekend wrecks.

A Sunday morning crash left a Bokchito man in critical condition. According to the patrol, Araon S. Coker, 27, was westbound about 3:16 a.m. on a county road three miles east of Durant when he lost control of his Ford Escort and flipped two times.

The patrol said Coker was thrown 17 feet. He was flown by LifeStar helicopter to Parkland Hospital, Dallas, Texas, where he is being treated for head injuries.

Pick up Monday's Durant Daily Democrat for the complete story.
