Mrs. Williams was caregiver for the Sunshine Hospice. Wanda worked for Stringtown Public Schools for 21 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of Atoka for many years and was currently a member of the First Baptist Church of Bokchito, Oklahoma. Wanda enjoyed listing to Christian music.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Williams of the home; son, Billy Williams of the home; daughter, Laura Williams of the home; mother, Norma Henson and husband Harrold of Atoka, Oklahoma; sisters, Phyllis Jamerson and husband Lawrence of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Dottie Wilson and husband Max of Pittsburg, Oklahoma; brother, Floyd D. McCarty, Jr. of Stringtown, Oklahoma; special friend, Patti Stover of Olney, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her father, Floyd McCarty, Sr. in 1998; step-father, Burnis (Buck) Bicknell in 2004.
Services for Mrs. Williams will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at the First Baptist Church, Bokchito, Oklahoma with Rev. Herbert Whorton and Rev. Preston Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery, Daisy, Oklahoma at 2:00 P.M. with David Williams, Rodney Campo, Floyd D. McCarty III, Blake Williams, Josh Williams, Nathan Williams, Max Wilson and Lawrence Jamerson serving as pallbearers. Family hour will be from 7 – 8 P.M. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
