A Kingston woman was flown from the scene of a Tuesday crash on Highway 70 five miles west of Mead.

Barbara E. Wigley, 60, is in stable condition at Methodist Hospital, Dallas, Texas, with internal trunk, arm and leg injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

According to the patrol Wigley was westbound in a Toyota at approximately 4 p.m. when she drove left of center and struck the trailer of an eastbound semi driven by Shannon D. Phillips, 39, Lucedale, Miss. Wigley’s vehicle then collided head-on with a Chevrolet driven by Terence Cantrell, 28, Durant.

Phillips and his passenger, Rachael Phillips, were not injured. Cantrell was taken to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, where he was treated and released.

Wigley was the only one who did not wear a seat belt, according to Trooper David McCutcheon’s report.
