A third suspect in the recent burglary of Durant First Baptist Church has been charged.

Onis Ray Robertson, 19, was charged Tuesday with second-degree burglary and knowingly concealing stolen property.

Robertson and Hannah Marie Kinney, 20, and Khyle Ross Yancey Emerson, 26, are accused of stealing $20,000 worth of electronic equipment from the church last month.

According to Durant Police, a cell phone that belonged to Kinney was found inside the chapel and an investigation led to the arrests of all three suspects, plus the recovery of the property.

An affidavit by Detective Brandon Laxton states that Robertson, upon questioning, said he entered the back door of the church to help the other two suspects place stolen property into a truck.

Police said they recovered all of the stolen items from the three suspects and also at a pawn shop in Sherman, Texas, Kinney and Emerson were charged earlier this month with knowingly concealing stolen property.

In other crime news, Samantha Leann Flinn, 28, and Joshua Cole Vaughn, 23, were charged Tuesday with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

They were captured Monday after Deputies Joey Tucker and Tim Harwood responded to a burglary call that afternoon on Oak Street in Cartwright. The caller said a man had been seen running across a yard. Tucker was driving on Vernon Road and he saw a man and woman go into the woods.

Tucker stopped and questioned the people, who were later identified as Flinn and Vaughn. While Tucker had a dispatcher check their names for warrants, he saw Vaughn give Flinn a red bag, the affidavit states, and they then ran into the woods. Flinn threw the bag into the bushes and when Tucker later retrieved it, he found scales, a sandwich baggie containing burnt marijuana cigarettes a zip baggie containing a crystal-like substance and a glass pipe, according to the affidavit.

After a search, Flinn was captured and taken to jail by Sheriff’s Investigator Nathan Calloway. She had dropped a purse while running the affidavit states, and deputies found 50 empty small zip baggies inside.

Deputies with help from Calera and Colbert police, continued searching for Vaughn, who was found at 5:16 p.m. that evening.

The suspects were also charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, paraphernalia and obstructing an officer.
