The Bryan County Master Gardeners’ annual Texoma Spring Garden Show begins today. The show will feature merchant stands and seminars by Bryan County Master Gardeners.
The public is invited to come out to the show and learn about everything from gardening basics to butterflies. There is no admission fee for this event.
The show will last from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 5 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 6. The event will take place in Haggard Hall at the Bryan County fairgrounds on South 9th Avenue in Durant.
Today’s presentations include Gardening 101, Understanding Pesticide and Herbicide Labels and Self Watering Container Gardens.
The last presentation of the day will be Growing Strong Minds and Bodies. This presentation is for children and will teach kids how to make healthy snacks.
Saturday presentations will begin with a Q &A session. This will be followed by Butterfly Gardening and Pecan Gathering presentations.
The Choctaw Senior Center will be serving Indian Tacos at the show from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. both days.
