Fire Service Board holds first meeting

The Bryan County Fire Service Board was established Monday morning. The first official meeting of the board was begun by the County Commissioners and board members were named.

Mike Goodman was named chairman of the board after the group had been sworn in by Bryan County District Judge Mark Campbell.

When the chairman had been named, the county commissioners allowed him to finish Monday’s meeting. Other officers named were Tommy Shepard as vice-Chairman and Brian Norton as secretary.

Other Bryan County Fire Service Board members are Mark Bowling, Ralph Houser, Andy Daniels and Jason Norris. All members are volunteers.

The Fire Service Board’s next meeting will be held on Sept. 27 At Kiamichi Technology Center in the director’s conference room.

All meetings following the meeting on Sept. 27 will be held in the same location at KTC the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m.
