The regular meeting of the Durant Community Facilities Authority was held Tuesday March 5 at Durant City Hall.

Authority members approved $4,500 for materials to complete sidewalk repairs at the Durant Multi-Sports Complex.

Authority members that have gone to the complex conveyed their approval of the progress being made and stated this as the reason for granting the request.

The Authority then heard activity reports on community facilities. It was reported that while all is well at the time being, the turf at Paul Laird Field will need replacing in years to come.

The Durant Multi-Sports Complex reported that fields are being prepped for baseball. Tournaments are set for March, April, May, June and August.

A possible July tournament to bring more people to the complex is being discussed as well.
