Red Cross receives donation from local car dealership
Lynn Edwards of the American Red Cross was at Red River Ford Friday afternoon to collect a check for $1,530. The check was one of many that the Red Cross is collecting from its annual Red Cross Hero campaign which takes place every March in honor of Red Cross Month. This is the third year Red River Ford has been involved in the campaign. The dealership collects donation money by donating $25 for every car sold during the month of March. ...

Durant runner reached 40K mark of marathon
Larry Qualls of Durant apparently finished most of the Boston Marathon on Monday, according to results posted online by the Boston Athletic Association. Qualls, 67, was one of 85 Oklahomans running in the fabled marathon on Monday. His time of 4 hours, 38 minutes and 46 seconds was recorded at the 40-kilometer point of the race.
