Two arrested for harboring escapee

A mother and daughter have been arrested for suspicion of harboring Bryan County Jail escapee and murder suspect Raymond Jay Stewart.Authorities arrested Wanita Hudson, 41, and her daughter, Sabrina Hudson, 21 , at approximately 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Bryan County Sheriff Ken Golden, who said said Wanita Hudson is a former girlfriend of Stewart.Stewart, 26, Durant, escaped at approximately 1:15 p.m. Saturday after he asked to take a shower which is located in the book-in area. The jail was having visitation at the time, and when a door was opened, Stewart pushed a confinement officer out of the way, ran out the door and through a back exit of the jail. He then ran toward the south side of town.

 

Bank robbery suspects in custody

Bryan County Jail escapee arrested

Raymond J. Stewart, escapee from Durant, was just arrested in downtown Hot Springs, Ark., the Hot Springs Daily reported on its Facebook page.The Bryan County Communications Center confirmed he is in custody during a radio broadcast at approximately 2:40 p.m.Stewart, charged with first-degree murder, escaped from jail Saturday afternoon.
