Durant senior Brandon Davis managed a pair of catches for 11 yards in Friday’s season opener at Poteau despite playing with an injured foot. The Lions saw things slip away in a big way in the final quarter against the Pirates as they dropped a 52-17 verdict.

Cade Buchanan (5) completed 15 of 30 passes for 208 yards on Friday night in the season opener while Matt Gillis (21) chipped in 57 yards on the ground and scored a touchdown.
