Durant football All-District selections

The Duarnt football program impressed this year as many made All-District selections.


The Durant Lions football team made great strides this year and many players raised eyebrows as they were selected for All-District 5A-3 awards. Coaches of teams in the District voted.

Layton Tubbs was named Offensive Player of the Year. John Woods was picked at the Outside Linebacker of the Year. Jacob Pardue grabbed the Offensive Lineman of the Year and Alex Steve at tight end. Jordan Williams made the All-District Defense as linebacker. Ryan Mendez and Devon Ashbee both got Honorable Mention.

The Lions held their football banquet and team members voted for their team awards. The Lion Award went to Jordan Williams and Nate Hodson. Scout Team Award went to Cade Ogden. The Lineman Award was won by Jacob Pardue. Jaston Daniels go the Special Team Award. Tre Harper was selected for the Offense Award. Both Alex Stece and Parker Morgan got the Defense Award. The Outstanding Player Award went to Layton Tubbs.
