Durant hosts lacrosse tourney

Durant Lions lacrosse team hosted it’s first lacrosse tournament on Saturday and Sunday at Southeastern’s Paul Laird Field.

Eleven teams from Oklahoma and Texas populated the tournament brackets. Oklahoma teams: Capital City, Tulsa Jenks, Tulsa Union, Tulsa Bishop Kelley, Tulsa Cascia Hall and Tulsa Holland Hall. Texas teams: Prosper, Lovejoy, Irving and Plano East.

On day two of the tourney, Durant was up against a tough seasoned team in Tulsa Holland Hall Dutch. The Lions fell to Dutch, 12-1. Josh Jackson scored Durant’s lone goal at the five minute mark in the third period.
