A Durant man is in critical condition following an early morning crash the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said was alcohol related.

Justin Clay Doty, 22, was flown to Plano Medical Center where he is being treated for head, internal trunk, arm and leg injuries.

According to the patrol, Doty was driving his pickup eastbound at 12:15 a.m. on a county road two miles north of Durant when he drove off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, and rolled two times.

Doty, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the pickup, the patrol said.

Driving under the influence was cited in Trooper Scott King’s report as the cause of the crash.
