A service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at Bokchito First Baptist Church for Evelyn Walters, 87, Collinsville, Texas, who died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, Denison, Texas. The Rev. Fred Ward will officiate.

She was born Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1916, in Pilot Point, Texas, to William and Jimmie (Rutherford) Stanley. She married Ray Walters in 1935, in McKinney, Texas. She was a homemaker, a member of Bokchito First Baptist Church and a seamstress who loved quilting, cooking and canning. She was a member of the Busy Bee Home Demonstration club, RSVP, and loved reading her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandchild, five brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by sons Jerry Walters and wife Clara, Garland, Texas, and Randall Walters and wife Helen, Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Bokchito Cemetery with pallbearers Allen Walters, John Walters, Todd Walters, David Edwards, Chad Walters, and Casey Walters.

Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
