A service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bennington First Baptist Church for Alma Marie Butler, 94, Bennington, who died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Oak Ridge Manor Nursing Home in Durant. The Revs. Les Peevyhouse and Carrell Hooper will officiate.

The daughter of Edward Titus and Rose Etta (Draper) Rogers, she was born Thursday, June 17, 1909, in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Mrs. Butler was a homemaker and child care provider. She married Marion Franklin Butler Dec. 5, 1925, in Bennington.

Preceding her in death were her parents, infant son Wilburn Butler, her husband, brothers Claudie, Henry, Virgil and Charlie Rogers and sister Dovie Brand.

Survivors include sons Charley Eugene Butler and wife Bonnie, Durant, Carlos Ray Butler, Bennington, John Edward Butler, Denton, Texas; daughters Wilma Francil Butler, Bennington, Shirley Ann Jestis and husband Karl Dee, Durant; grandchildren Bonnie Webb, Carla McDaniel, Ricky Butler, Chris Butler, Lucretia Rolland, Linette Moore, Brad Jestis, Bradley Butler, Michael Butler, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Bennington Cemetery with grandsons Ricky Butler, Chris Butler, Tim Moore, Brad Jestis, Bradley Butler and Michael Butler serving as pallbearers.

Family hour is 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
