A man drove a wrecker truck through the front of a business and burglarized the establishment early this morning, according to Durant Police.

Sgt. Chris Marcy and Patrolman Jon Welsh were dispatched at 3:04 to EZ Pawn on North First Avenue in response to a burglar alarm.

Upon arrival, Marcy saw that the front entrance was smashed, and that it appeared someone had driven into it. According to Welsh's report, there were tire tracks inside the store.

Police called for backup, and officers began looking for a damaged vehicle.

Marcy heard dogs barking across the street in the area of a muffler shop, so he told Welsh to drive over there. According to Marcy's report, Welsh drove to the area of Second and Plum while Marcy walked over to the muffler shop.
