DURANT - The Lion football team used a week of practice to improve before hosting Tishomingo and Hugo in scrimmages Thursday.

After being held out of the end zone at Duncan, first-year senior Michael Stephens made the biggest display of the Lion's progress.

After 10 snaps against Hugo and 10 against Tishomingo, the Lions ended the night with another go at Hugo. Following, a pass from Andrew Weatherly, Stephens used his 6-5 frame to bounce off tacklers and race 80 yards to paydirt against Hugo.
