Graveside services for Lou Ellen Gosdin, 82, Mountain Home, Ark., who died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, in Mountain Home, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Highland Cemetery Chapel.

The daughter of Jack and Elga (Cubley) Wilson, she was born Nov. 8, 1922, in Duncan. She graduated from Durant High School in 1940 and attended Southeastern State College. She married Harold Gosdin Oct. 15, 1939. She worked at Perrin Air Force Base in Texas and for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the American Association of Retired Persons. She was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Galesburg, Ill., and First Baptist Church in Durant.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Oct. 19, 1995.

She is survived by sons Harold Gosdin and wife Corie, Gainesville, Mo., and Mark Gosdin and wife Rita, Porum; daughter Gwen Carr and husband Harold, Knoxville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be given to Gideons International or a charity of the donor's choice.
