MCALESTER - Once again, the Achille Lady Eagles keep on winning in the playoffs.
They beat the Smithville Lady Braves 61-50 Friday afternoon at the Expo Center in McAlester.
Achille's improved to 28-1, and this loss ended Smithville's season with a record of 24-5.
This win propelled the Lady Eagles into the finals of the consolation bracket of the area round of the playoffs.
Smithville had a very athletic team and Achille did not try to put the press on them.
The score was tied at 10-10 after the first quarter. Brittiany Clonch scored eight of the 10 Achille points in the quarter.
Achille went up 16-10 to open the second quarter, and at the 6:45 mark the Smithville coach called a timeout.
