CADDO - Kingston made the trek to Caddo Tuesday night in hopes of surprising the Caddo teams but both of the Caddo teams prevailed to sweep visiting opponents from Kingston. The Lady Bruins won their game 76-43 over the Lady Redskins and the Caddo boys held on for a closer 63-56 victory.

Girls

The Lady Bruins (2-1) won the game on the strength of good shooting, and strong rebounding along with some ball-hawking defense thrown in. Caddo got the first basket and never looked back against the Lady Redskins (1-2). They led 17-6 at the end of the first quarter which ended with a nifty 7-0 run.

Kingston outscored Caddo 19-16 in the second quarter as Ashley McClain got untracked and scored 10 points for the Lady Redskins. Caddo went into the locker room at the half with a 33-25 lead.

Boys

The Kingston bunch took control in the first quarter after they were behind 5-0 as they ran off 14 unanswered points against the Bruins and took a 16-9 lead at the end of the quarter.

The Caddo full-court pressure defense took over in the second quarter and Caddo began hitting some shots to take a 30-24 lead at the end of the half. Caddo won the turnover statistic for the game as they forced the Indians into 18 turnovers to their 12.
