A bean and cornbread supper to benefit the Bokchito Volunteer Fire Department will be held Feb. 2 at the Rock Creek High School auditorium. The supper will also feature a silent auction that will begin at 4 p.m. and a cake and pie auction to begin at 7:30 p.m. Dinner will be served from 6-8 p.m. The Bokchito Masonic Lodge No. 253 and the Bokchito Volunteer Fire Auxiliary are sponsoring the benefit. Tickets are $5 at the door. Donations are being accepted at Mays Grocery Store or the Bokchito branch of the First United Bank.

The Durant First United Methodist Church, located at Third and Beech, is hosting a bean luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in support of local and global missions. Caddo Public Schools will hold a JOM, Title VII, and Title I meeting Feb. 2 in the Superintendent's office at 6 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Kim Marlow at (580) 367-2208 ext. 18.

Four year old and Head Start pre-enrollment for the 2006-07 school year at Colbert Primary School will be from 3-6 p.m. Thursday in the high school auditorium. A birth certificate, up-to-date immunization record, social security card and a copy of the child's CDIB card (if applicable) are needed.

Saturday

Albany Masonic Lodge No. 159 will host a fund-raiser stew and chili dinner at the Albany Community Center at 6 p.m. Saturday to help the Yuba, Wade and Albany Fire Departments. A pie and cake auction will follow the meal.

The Kemp Fire Station will host a barbecue dinner Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. to benefit the Kemp Volunteer Fire Department. Donations will be accepted per plate. Live entertainment will be provided. The Calera Masons No. 129 and Calera Volunteer Fire Department are sponsoring a chili or stew supper from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Calera High School cafeteria. The cost will be $7 for adults, $3 for children. Entertainment will be provided throughout the day. Proceeds will benefit the Calera Fire Department.

There will be a wild game dinner with all the trimmings at 6 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Chitwood Center located in the Bennington School. Donations will be accepted for the Fellowship Hall Building Fund at Bennington Baptist Church.
