Warrants have been issued for the arrest of two men accused of trying to get gas and break into the Liberty Store.
Charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary were Justin Troy Spainhour, 18, Kemp, and Randy Dale Dobbins, 19, Hendrix.
The suspects came under investigation April 5 following an investigation by Bryan County Sheriff's Deputy Billy Grider. According to Grider's report, the store owner called the communications center that morning and said someone broke out a window.
The victim's son arrived, and he recognized one of the suspects by a gas pump. The suspects then fled in a pickup, according to the report. Deputies said a compact-disc case inscribed with the name of one of Dobbins' relatives was found at the scene.
Deputies learned the names of the suspects and tracked them down that morning.
According to the sheriff's office, Undersheriff Ken Golden obtained a confession from Dobbins.
In other crimes, a woman accused of cutting a former roommate and trying to run her over has been hit with three felony charges. Linda Irene Stern, 53, Durant, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of attempted assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, an automobile.
According to Durant Police, she cut Sonya Dodson, 40, Friday evening on the right forearm. According to statements given to police, Stern and Dodson had been roommates.
Buddy Wynne, 22, a witness, told Patrolman James Smarr that the women were fighting inside a vehicle and he took Stern's knife. The report stated that Stern then tried to run over Dodson and Wynne.
