Among the business discussed was the employment of support personnel for the 2010-2011 school year. Seven new substitute teachers have been added, along with two custodial substitutes. They also approved the addition of two students through the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services Transition Work Study Program for the 2010-2011 school year and a part-time bus driver monitor.
Two full-time members are leaving the school district, one cafeteria worker and one custodial worker from Washington Irving.
The board made a special recognition of DHS volunteer, Lance Patterson. Patterson has worked with Durant Student Athletes for the past 25 years and continues his dedication.
