Caddo FFA Banquet being held April 18

The Caddo FFA Banquet will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 in the Caddo School cafeteria. The Caddo FFA chapter would like to extend an invitation to their supporters. Please RSVP by April 13 by calling the school at (580) 367-2208 and asking for Annette Goodwin.

Revival starts today

Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church is having a revival at 6:30 p.m. each evening April 12-14. Speakers will be Rev. Gene Hancock, Rev. Tim Byington and Rev. Harvey Williams respectively and refreshments will be provided. The church is located 3.5 miles south of Bennington on Sulphur Springs Road.

Benefit chili supper Thursday

The Caney National Honor Society is sponsoring a benefit chili supper for Adam Davis, the Caney ag teacher from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, at the Caney cafeteria. Proceeds go toward Davis' medical expenses.

Kiwanis egg hunt Saturday

The Durant Kiwanis Club is sponsoring an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 15, beginning at 10 a.m. at Billy Miller Park Complex. Age groups are birth to Kindergarten, first and second graders, and third and fourth graders. Each child should bring a basket for eggs and candy. Rain or shine.

Reunion Plaza to host egg hunt

Reunion Plaza is hosting a community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 15 beginning at 1 p.m. on the front lawn of 1919 University Drive. Categories will be divided by age and there will be a special prize egg for each age group. There will be a special prize awarded for the best decorated basket. Everyone is invited to come and join in the fun.

Sponsored blood drive May 15

The Caddo FCCLA is sponsoring a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, in the Caddo old gym, located north of the high school. For more information, contact Annette Goodwin at (580) 367-2208.

Scavenger hunt during April

Patchwork Angels Adult Day Care is hosting a scavenger hunt. Open to area senior citizens during the month of April. For a list of items and contest rules contact Brianna at 931-0444.

NARFE meeting on Thursday

National Active and Retired Federal Employees (N.A.R.F.E.) will meet Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Branding Iron. Shelley Manis of All Seasons Travvel will be the guest speaker on “Interesting Travel Opportunities”. All members and potential members are invited.

Benefit for Special Olympics

Wal-Mart is hosting a bake sale and hot dog cookout from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 13 to benefit Red River Area 13 Special Olympics. All proceeds will benefit local athletes.

Spring Garden Fling April 21 and 22

Bryan County Master Gardeners is hosting contests for the oldest, most unusual and most attractive plants during the Spring Garden Fling April 21-22. Entrants can be taken to the community building between 1-6 p.m. April 20. Prizes will be awarded. For more information, contact Mary at 920-0276.
