The Caddo Lady Bruins softball team improved to 18-8 on the season after getting a 6-5 win at home against Antlers.
Erika Miler went to 16-5 on the season, scattering eight hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
Shelby Kampplain provided the game-winning RBI while going 2-3 at the plate. Jennifer Owen was 2-2 with a double and an RBI, and Kurstie Dunegan was 1-3 with three runs. Caddo had a run in each of the first and second innings before scoring three in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Caddo travels to Blue for the district tournament featuring Rock Creek and Achille Thursday. Rock Creek and Achille will play at 2 p.m.. The loser of the first game plays Caddo at 4 p.m., and the winner of the first game plays Caddo at 6 p.m. Friday's game begins at 11 a.m.
The Rock Creek Mustangs dropped a 4-3 decision to Tupelo after surrendering four unearned runs Monday. Cameron Mann entered in the seventh inning to pick up the win in relief of Brandon McCurry.
Matt Cartwright started for the Mustangs. He tossed two innings, allowing two hits with three strikeouts before Tomas Duffex entered. Duffex went three innings, striking out four with two hits allowed. Brandon Armstrong took the loss in relief, going 1.2 innings with two strikeouts one and one hit allowed.
Tupelo ended the game with a one-out sacrifice fly for an RBI in the seventh inning. Choc Cartwright led Rock Creek with three hits and an RBI. Tyler Titsworth had two hits, including a solo home run for an RBI. Matt Cartwright had two hits with a double and an RBI, and Brandon Armstrong added two hits.
Rock Creek will host the district with Achille and Calera, Thursday beginning at 2 p.m.
Achille and Calera will play, and Rock Creek will play the loser of the first game, before playing the winner of the second game.
