DURANT - Southeastern Oklahoma State University will host the “ECU Bonfire and Pep Rally 2006” at 8:30 p.m. Friday in the amphitheater and everybody is invited.

Student Government President Mike Davis will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event and introduce President Dr. Glen D. Johnson. The SOSU band, spirit squad and flag women will perform and football and basketball coaches will speak.

Campus police will light the bonfire at approximately 8:40 p.m.

Alumni Association Coordinator Nicole Erwin will invite everyone to Saturday's big Beat ECU Tailgate Party and a good time will be had by all.

This is a chance to meet the men's and women's basketball teams and visit with the coaches and players. Football coach Ray Richards will have the lowdown on East Central and football team representatives will speak.

Everybody is invited and encouraged to attend and their game faces on for the big Saturday shootout between the Savage Storm and ECU Tigers.

A win will give Southeastern its 18th conference championship.
