Magnolia Festival Chairman Jim Dunegan will announce plans and the entertainment venue for the 11th Annual Magnolia Festival, Tuesday, May 1 at 11 a.m. at the Bryan County Courthouse lawn. This year the festival will be expanded by one day in honor of the State's 100th birthday. The event will begin Thursday, May 31, at noon. Landmark Bank will provide free hot dogs and soft drinks to all attendees following the press conference.

Each year the Magnolia Festival committee hosts this event to get everyone excited about the plans for the upcoming festivities. Each year the committee honors Durant, the “City of Magnolia's,” by purchasing a Magnolia Tree. The county commissioners will plant the tree on the courthouse lawn.

Everyone is invited to come hear the plans for the Festival and enjoy a free hot dog grilled by employees of Landmark Bank.
