Two Durant men were injured after a head-on crash Monday two miles north of Durant on State Highway 78.
Jason W. Sparks, 38, was flown by LifeStar helicopter from the scene of the 7:04 p.m. crash and is in stable condition at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, Texas, with head and external-trunk injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Darrell Ledbetter, 42, was taken to Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He is in stable condition with internal trunk and arm injuries.
According to the patrol, Sparks was eastbound in a four-door car when he went left of center and struck Ledbetter's car head-on.
Ledbetter wore a seat belt and Sparks did not, according to Trooper Ashley Dunn's report. Durant Fire Department and Bryan County EMS responded to the crash and firefighters helped remove one victim.
In other crashes, two teens from the Colbert area were injured late Monday morning after the driver rolled her car in Calera on U.S. Highway 69/75. Both were taken to the local hospital to be treated for minor injuries, according to Calera Police.
