Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church, Bokchito, for Alice Trammell, 93, Bennington, who died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Ardmore. Rev. Carroll Hooper, Rev. Billie Brewer and Rev. Kent Wooster will officiate.

She was born Tuesday, April 28, 1914, in Bennington to Andrew Black and Louise Jennie (Morrell) Drake. She married Harmon B. Trammell Feb. 14, 1948, in Sherman, Texas. She was a charter member of the Faith Baptist Church and served as Sunday School secretary for more than 31 years. She loved her church and church family dearly. She was a graduate of Bennington High School in 1933 and a member of the Beames Home Demonstration Club. She loved gardening, sewing, canning and making her famous sweet pickles for her family, especially her grandkids. She love helping her children and grandchildren. Her children would like to acknowledge that Brother Carroll Hooper married Alice and Harmon, and that they were the first couple that he married. Also we want to thank Dessie Luke for all the love and care that you gave to our mother.

She was preceded in death her parents, Black and Lou Drake; husband on Sept. 4, 1964; brothers Joe and Andrew Drake; sisters Pauline Hart and Susie (Drake) Flynn Dec. 25, 1995.

She is survived by children Ethel Houston and husband Jerry, Bokchito, Edith Brewer and husband Terry, Ardmore, Elaine Whitmire, Coleman; grandchildren Theresa Houston, Bokchito, David Houston and wife Alyce, Atoka, James Whitmire, Coleman, Billie Brewer, Euless, Texas, Monica Moore and husband Dustin, Nida, Bradley Houston, Bokchito; great-grandson Daylon Moore, Nida; nephew Sam Drake and wife Sandy, Prescott Valley, Ariz.; nieces Joyce Gray and husband Ralph, Golden, Colo., Louise Hefner, Canada; numerous other nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Burial will be in Bokchito Cemetery with David Houston, James Whitmire, Bradley Houston, Dustin Moore, Mike Trammell, Ray Trammell, Jim Coe, Jr. Dill, Alvin Trammell, Stanley Trammell, Troy McGehee, Marvin Ingram and David Hawkins serving as pallbearers.

Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
