DURANT - The Southeastern Savage Storm will host its final home game of the season, 2:30 p.m., in a Lone Star Conference cross-over game with Midwestern State University Saturday.

The Mustangs snapped a two-game losing skid with a 73-6 win over Texas A&M Kingsville last week. Midwestern's only losses are to the Lone Star Conference's lone unbeatens - Tarleton State and West Texas A&M.

The Storm (3-4) enters the game on a two-game win streak, both wins coming in North Division play. The Storm is 2-1 in the division along with Texas A&M Commerce and Central Oklahoma. Midwestern is 6-2 and 2-2 in the LSC-S.

Midwestern State owns a 7-2 all-time series record against the Savage Storm, having won last year's game, 33-23.

The Mustangs are averaging 43 points per game, led by a very good ground attack. Midwestern averages 305 rushing yards per game with 6.9 yards per carry. Runningbacks Joe Chatman and Marucs Mathis combine for 138 yards per game. Quarterback Daniel Polk leads the rushing with 81 yards per game and 13 touchdowns.

Midwestern averages 531 yards of total offense per game. The Mustangs' leading receiver is DelJuan Lee with 34 total receptions and 72 receiving yards per game.

The highly successful offense is the best defense for the Mustangs, but their not too shabby on the non-ball side. Midwestern holds opponents to 286.5 yards per game, and to 30 percent on third down.

Saturday's game will be both Homecoming and Senior Day for the Southeastern Savage Storm.
