She was born Aug. 2, 1938, in Calera, to William M. and Flora (Hayes) Thompson. She married Alton Joe Juelch July 2, 1956, in Carson City, Nev. She was a member of the Platter Holiness Church. She loved gardening, quilting, fishing and camping. She worked for TI, the cotton mill, U.S. Motors and Rogers Superette and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Clarence “Buddy” Thompson, sisters Ada Metcalf, Betty Lou Reynolds, Dorothy Gage, Pauline Keith, and son-in-law Gale Dawson.
She is survived by sons Allen Juelch and wife Kim, Platter; daughters Debbie Dawson, Platter, Beckie Johnson and husband Norman, Platter, Tonie Hopkins and husband Richard, Colbert, Anggie Parker and husband Gene, Valliant; sisters Edith Lovelace, Denison, Texas, Claudette Carson, Mead; brothers Sonny Thompson, Napa, Calif., Roy Thompson, Calera, Clyde Thompson, Platter; brother-in-law Vernon Juelch, West Point, Calif.; grandchildren Wade Dawson and wife Tricia, Denison, Texas, Curtis Harris, Colbert, Kim Rowland and husband Cody, Platter, Carrie McMahan and husband Brandon, Platter, Kris Jordan and husband Ramon, Platter, Destiny Noland and husband Brandon, Calera, Tiffany Hempsted and husband Michael, Durant, Casey Harris, Colbert, Candi Johnson, Colbert, Brandon Juelch, Platter, Telisa Parker, Valliant, Matthew Parker, Valliant; great-granddaughters Brady Rowland, Keagan Rowland, Tally Rowland, Preslee Jordan, BaLee Noland, BritLee Nolan; great-grandsons Caanan Jordan, Kash McMahan; and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery, Platter, with Wade Dawson, Curtis Harris, Kim Rowland, Carrie McMahan, Kris Jordan, Destiny Nolan, Tiffanny Hempsted, Casey Harris, Candi Johnson, Telisa Parker, Brandon Juelch and Matthew Parker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tricia Dawson, Cody Rowland, Brandon McMahan, Ramon Jordan, Brandon Nolan, Michael Hempsted and Aaron Thompson.
Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
