Laquata Joyce Collier, 77, Durant, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at Wilson N. Jones hospital, Sherman, Texas. Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Miracle Tabernacle, Durant, with Rev. Guy Milazzo officiating.

She was born Sunday, March 30, 1930, to Marvin Lee Townsend and Etta Mae (Brown) in Durant. Joyce loved to play dominoes, fish, camp, yardwork and loved to visit with family and friends. She was a member of Miracle Tabernacle for three years.

Preceding her in death are her husband Calvin Collier; parents; brothers Benny Townsend, Raymond Townsend and baby Mary Ann.

Survivors include her children Wanda Evans, of the home, Robert Russell and wife Patsy, Durant, Janice Sue Roberts and husband Gary, Claremore, Lois Ann Wright and husband Thomas, Claremore, Ewntha Thomas and husband Perry, Muskogee, Edwina Rice and husband Kenny, Okay, and Dean Russell and wife Jaylene, Stillwell; brothers Elmo Townsend and wife Elvalee, and Calvin Townsend, all of California; sisters Martha Austin, California, and Carmen Manners, Durant; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery, Silo.

Pallbearers are Robert Russell, Thomas Russell, Shawn Collier, Chris Baumann, Issac Russell and Wayland Russell.

Family hour will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home.
