Juanita Hobbs, 75, of Valliant, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2008. She was born March 29, 1932, in Anona, Texas, the daughter of J.B and Beatrice (Dollar) Walker.

Juanita cooked in many restaurants in Idabel and later began working as a provider and nurse's aid. She loved being able to take care of other people. Juanita enjoyed going to church, fishing, and working in her flower beds. Family was very important to her and she loved cooking huge meals and spending all the time she could with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B and Beatrice Walker; daughter, Kathy Hobbs; sister, Oleta Compton; and nephew, Bobby Len Compton.

Juanita leaves to cherish her memory two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Joe Ben Nance, Valliant, Kay and James Jackson, Caddo; sister, Lorene Scarborough, Idabel; brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Betty Walker, Idabel; brother-in-law, Alan Scarborough, Idabel; four grandchildren, Ronnie Joe Nance, Valliant, Kara Surratt, Valliant, Kannon and Kanda Jackson, Caddo; four great-grandchildren, Kody and Hannah Nance, Valliant, Kolby and Khloe Surratt, Valliant; seven nieces and nephews, Billy Jack Compton, Oklahoma City, Mike Scarborough, Idabel, Kenneth Walker, Valliant, Steve Walker, Idabel, Kathy Roberts, Valliant, Melissa “Missy” Meyer, Idabel, and Rachel Meyer, Idabel; and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Idabel. Bro. Troy Ruffin will officiate. Interment will follow in Canfield Cemetery, Idabel.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Brumley Funeral Home, Idabel.

Services are under the direction of Brumley Funeral Home, Idabel.
