Dr. Carlton Bruce Bell, 46, of Houston, Texas, passed away April 10, 2008, in Houston where he lived and practiced for the past 19 years.

Bruce was born August 9, 1961, in Durant to C.B. Bell and Claudie Mae (Stallings) Bell. He attended Madill High School, Southeastern Oklahoma State University as a Parson’s Scholar, and in 1989, he graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

He established a successful internal medicine practice and also pursued interests in home renovation and design, for which his talents were recognized. He accomplished much in a short number of years, but closest to his heart were special friends, patients and family.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Claudie Mae and B.T. Maxwell, Madill; sisters JoEllen Blissit and husband Ron, Norman, and Dana Haggard and husband Phil, Durant; brothers Terrell Bell, Denison, Texas, Ray Bell, Edmond, and Garry Bell and wife Aleah, Durant; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be in Houston, with a family memorial and interment at a later date in Madill. Memorial donations should be made to the American Heart Association.
