He was the son of Rev. Kermit C. Montgomery of Durant, Oklahoma. His mother is Mrs. Gene Dudley of Florida. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Sobke and Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Montgomery and his Aunt, Mrs. Chouncey Bruce.
He leaves his wife Cindy and daughter Katie, a sister Connie Douglass of Florida, a brother Dale Montgomery of Florida. He had many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, and cousins. He also had a stepmother, Rev. Joyce F. Montgomery of Durant, Oklahoma, and three stepsisters, Patricia Wyscarver of Stow, Ohio, Deborah McIntire of Topeka, Kansas, and Denise Reed of Tampa, Florida.
His occupation was a painter. His hobby was cooking and he enjoyed it. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Services were held at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home in Cleveland, Tenn. on May 4, 2008. His Uncle Rev. Kenneth Montgomery officiated the service. The Pall Bearers were Johnny Montgomery, Brian Montgomery, Sam Montgomery, John Montgomery, Ricky Walker, Donnio Walker and Ray Scoggins.
He will be laid to rest in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Turtletown, Tenn.
