Krista Kaye was born June 9, 1967, in Lancaster, California, to Douglas and Christine Sue (Boone) Parrott. She moved with her family to Durant when she was 6 months old and has resided here all her life. She attended high school at Silo and continued her education at SOSU and Grayson County College. She proudly served her country in the United States Army and later worked for Allied Stone. She was a member of the Victory Tabernacle Church and she enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, watching Nascar and spending time with her family and friends. Krista Kaye will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Krista Kaye was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Krista Kaye is survived by her husband Jeff Smith of the home; son Brandon Stephens of Durant, Ok; daughter Dana Horton and husband T.W. of Durant, Ok; brothers Scott Parrott and wife Debbie of Hobbs, New Mexico, Darrell Jones and wife Dina of Durant, Ok, and Kevin Stotzer of Durant, Ok; grandchildren Kadence Stephens and Kolton Horton; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery with Jason Parrott, Scotty Ray Parrott, Earl Boone, Ronnie Russell, Jerry Taylor, and Bobby Williams serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Boone, Justin Gibson, and Josh Gibson.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home today from 5-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Krista Kaye (Parrott) Smith fund at Texoma National Bank in Durant.
