Szenasi was a lifelong resident of Caddo; he lived on a ranch east of Bryan County. He lived there for 85 years.
David was born Monday, March 8, 1915, in Ennis, Texas, to Joe Szenasi and Ester (Budai) Szenasi. He married Lera (Lacey) on Jan. 25, 1951, in Durant. David was a rancher/farmer all of his life with his brothers at Szenasi Ranching. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He served in the Army Air Force from 1942-1945. He served in Africa and Italy as a staff sergeant. David was also a member of the Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers Albert and John Szenasi and sisters Esther Moran and Maggie Szenasi.
He is survived by his niece June Moran Beal of Caddo; nephews Jesse Damron and wife Sharon and Bill Damron; great-nieces Lesa Lackey and husband Kenny, Melissa Foote, Ashley Lackey, Tresa Johnson and husband Jerry, Erika Eagleberger, Becky Johnson, Rosemary Krebbs and husband Tony, Tara Damron, Jennifer Damron, Charity Damron, Bree Damron, Hannah Damron and Taylor Holloway; great-nephews Andy Lackey and John J. Damron, Bill Damron and Edwin R. Moran and wife Gretta, and great-great-nephew Shooter Eagleberger.
Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo. Pallbearers will be Arvil Milligan, Tim Miller, Clay Freeney, Jerry Johnson, Kenney Lackey, Tony Krebbs and Perry Michalas.
Family hour will be Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
