Graveside services for Albert Lee Pena, 82, of Durant who passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008, at his home, will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Cemetery. Bro. Bud Jenkins will officiate.

Albert was born Aug. 26, 1925, in Durant to Santos and Cuba (Tice) Pena. He spent most of his life living and working in California as a sales associate in the importing industry. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed playing the guitar, singing,and taking care of his animals. Albert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, R.L., Clarence “Slick,” Bill and John Pena; and wife Irene.

Albert is survived by his sister Norma Jean Jenkins of Durant; niece Vangie Wingfield of Durant; step-daughter Roberta Dobbs of Durant; special care giver Rose Davidson of Durant; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Interment will be in Highland Cemetery with John Pena, Bill Pena, Michael Wingfield, Jeff Booe, Lonnie Houston and Jeffrey Houston serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home today from 6-8 p.m.
