Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 1524 W. Main St., will resume “Our Saviour’s Table” on Thursday. The food program, in its 10th year, had been closed for the past few months because an automobile crashed through a brick wall earlier this year.
A free, hot meal will be served every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The meals are free to anyone in need and no questions are asked, according to Nancy Cissell, the coordinator of the program.
The program is held year round every Thursday except Thanksgiving.
“We serve a hot meal with salad and vegetables,” Cissell said. “It’s pretty much a full meal.”
According to Cissell, the program operates from donations by area businesses and it is staffed by church volunteers.
“From the community — that’s how we operate — is by donations from them,” Cissell said.
