The 30,350-sq.-ft. facility receives newspaper, office paper, shredded paper, magazines, catalogs, plastics numbered one and two, aluminum cans, steel cans, cell phones, printer cartridges and cardboard for recycling.
Prior to opening to the public on Dec. 1, there was no public facility within the 10-1/2 county area that allowed for businesses and individuals to drop off items to be recycled.
The facility, located at 3108 Enterprise Drive in Durant, is open to the public for dropping off items from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
