At 2 p.m. Sunday, the annual Memorial Day Service will be held at Highland Cemetery in Durant. VFW Post No. 3916 is hosting this event.
The Silo Cemetery will hold its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 30, starting at 10 a.m.
Memorial Day Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Garden of Memory Cemetery, Colbert. State Representative Dustin Roberts, will be the featured speaker, and Durant VFW will do the Flag Ceremony, assisted by the Colbert Cub Scouts.
All friends and persons interested in the Colbert Cemetery, are invited to attend as we remember and honor those who have given so much.
The Cub Scouts, along with other volunteers, will place flags on the veterans’ graves at 9 a.m. Saturday that will be left through Memorial Day weekend, and removed at 5 p.m. Monday.
