The four-man scramble is $60 per person and includes green fee, cart, food and beverages.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Amanda Whorton Memorial Scholarship through the SOSU and Caddo Educational Foundation.
Amanda, who was a senior at SOSU School of Business, was killed in an automobile accident March 11, 2004.
Friends, family, and local community have gathered together in her honor to help other young adults succeed through scholarship benefits. In the past seven years, over $141,000 has been raised and many scholarships have been given to deserving students.
This past year, the Whorton family was awarded the Benefactor Award at SOSU’s Homecoming celebration for the work they are doing for the Amanda Whorton Scholarship.
