Although the crash happened in Texas near the visitor center just across the border, it was reported to the Durant Police Department's Communication Center at 2:10 p.m.
Denison Police said James Hedgecoke, 81, died at the scene of the crash. Hedgecoke was driving southbound when his pickup went across the median and hit a northbound semi truck, causing the big rig to tip over onto the pickup.
The semi driver was not injured.
