Wes and Penny Lovell of Durant would like to announce the engagement of their daughter Alyssa Cathryn, to Ryan Paul Bowen, son of Randy and Stephanie Bowen of Stuart, Oklahoma. Grandmothers of the bride to be are Joyce Morrison and Barbara Lovell and Grandfathers are the late Tony Morrison and Charles Lovell. Grandparents of the groom to be are Earl and Sandra Shephard and the late Jack and Cherry Dawn Bowen.

The bride to be is a 2009 graduate of Durant High School and is currently a junior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The groom to be is a graduate of Cameron High School.  He is a 2009 graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University and received a Master of Education degree from East Central University. He is currently the assistant baseball coach and teaches at Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Oklahoma.

The couple will make their home in Poteau, Oklahoma. They were married at 4:30 on Saturday, November 12 at Journey to Healing in Mead, Oklahoma. Friends and family are invited to attend this special day.
